Vinicius, Mbappe each score as Real beat Espanyol 4-1

Madrid, Sep 22 (EFE).- Vinicius Jr came off the bench to lead Real Madrid to a 4-1 win at the Santiago Bernabeu against Espanyol on Saturday night.

After a goalless first half, Real went behind after goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois scored an own goal on 54 minutes. 

Dani Carvajal equalized four minutes later when he seized on an error by Espanyol keeper Joan Garcia.

Vinicius created Real’s go-ahead goal scored by fellow Brazilian forward Rodrygo in the 75th minute, before adding his side’s third three minutes later thanks to an assist from Kylian Mbappe.

The French superstar then bagged a goal for himself from the penalty spot in stoppage time.
