US prioritized withdrawal over Afghanistan’s stability, says Taliban advisor

New Delhi, Feb 27 (EFE).- The United States was aware of the Taliban’s inevitable takeover of Afghanistan as early as 2013 but prioritized its own withdrawal over the country’s stability, a senior Taliban advisor as said, blaming Washington for the current situation in the war-torn nation.

Mullah Malang, an advisor to the Taliban’s supreme leader, told in a written interview with EFE that Washington was responsible for Afghanistan’s challenges, including the lack of international recognition and economic difficulties.

However, he insisted that the 2020 Doha Agreement, signed between the US and the Taliban, had been beneficial for Afghanistan. EFE
